3rd medical conference in Hama University discusses research work paper

The University of Hama in cooperation with the Health Directorate and the branches of the unions of doctors, pharmacists, dentists, health professions and other concerned institutions held the third international medical conference. The activities of the conference began today at the Apamea Al-Sham Hotel in Hama.

The three-day conference will discuss about 87 research work papers on the latest developments in medical, dental, pharmaceutical  and laboratory sciences.

 

The Governor of Hama, Eng. Muhammad Tariq Kreshati, stated that the conference is an important opportunity for researchers, doctors and experts to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in the medical field.

Dr. Muhammad Ziyad Sultan, Rector of the University of Hama underlined the importance of the conference in linking the university with society, developing and revitalizing scientific research. In addition to medical fields, the conference dealt with several issues, most notably medical errors and their repercussions and medical injuries of athletes in stadiums and how to deal with them.

For his part, Head of Hama Health Directorate, Dr. Ahmed Jihad Aaboura, stated that the experience of scientific conferences has given encouraging results for continuation and development, gaining scientific knowledge, exchanging expertise and laying down recommendations which would play a pivotal role in the medical professional development and preserving citizen’s health.

On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition of pharmaceutical companies, medical, laboratory and dental equipment was opened. More than 34 medical companies specializing in this regard are participating in the exhibition which includes the latest equipment, medicines and innovative medical equipment.

The conference, which will continue until the first of next June, will discuss several topics divided into 16 sessions.
