Russia strongly condemns Israeli occupation aggression on Mezzeh area in Damascus

Moscow, (ST) – Russia strongly condemned on Wednesday the Israeli aggression that targeted a residential building in the Mezzeh area in Damascus.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a statement: We strongly condemn this act that was carried out in a densely populated area in Damascus, which led to the fall of innocent victims.

The ministry added that it is outrageous that such acts have become a routine practice implemented in Syria, Iran and the Gaza Strip.

Zakharova called on the Israeli occupation entity to respect the sovereignty of states and comply with the basic rules of international law.

Last night  the Israeli occupation enemy launched an air assault  with three missiles from the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting a residential and commercial building in the densely populated Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus, which led to the martyrdom of seven civilians, including children and women, and the injury of 11 others.
