200 families of martyrs honored in Tartous Governorate

Tartous, (ST) – Tartous Governorate Council, in cooperation with one of the national economic activities, honored 200 families of martyrs in the governorate, in the council hall.

The Head of the governorate council, Alia Mahmoud spoke in her speech about the greatness of martyrdom and the nobility of the sacrifice of the martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of the nation’s pride and dignity.

In turn, the event coordinator, member of the Martyrs and Wounded Committee in the Provincial Council, Mona Ibrahim indicated in a statement to SANA that the honor comes in appreciation of the sacrifices of the people of the country who responded to the call of truth and were side by side with the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army on the battlefields to confront armed terrorist groups.

She added that this honor also comes in appreciation of the families of the martyrs and for their love for the homeland and their sense of responsibility towards the unity of its territory and sovereignty.

The families of the martyrs, Marouf Al-Qadi, Hani Hassan, Charbel Al-Khatib, Abbas Abbas, and HossamBustani pointed out that the martyrs are present in the hearts of everyone and their memory fills every home.
