180 volunteers participate in an environmental activity

About 180 male and female volunteers from different governorates participated in the activity organized by the Syrian Association for Exploration and Documentation. Over two days, they cleaned Mount Qasioun near the Arbaeen shrine.

The activity came as part of the association’s activities on the occasion of the National Environment Day, which falls on the first of November, according to the leader of field operations in the association, Khaled Noelati.

Noelati noted that the association’s volunteers cleaned Qasioun Mount  site of industrial waste, in order to make it possible to introduce the historical and tourism importance of the site to visitors.

The Syrian Association for Exploration and Documentation was established in Damascus in 2008 with the aim of providing an opportunity for young people to experience nature closely by training them to learn how to adapt to it to extract scientific benefit and historical truth by conducting field exploration activities in nature.
