13 martyrs and dozens wounded as a result of the occupation’s bombing of Gaza

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)-Thirteen Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured today as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ shelling of areas in Gaza Strip.

Wafa News Agency reported that the occupation forces shelled a gathering of Palestinians in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, the Shati camp west of it, and houses in the Tuffah neighborhood east of the city, in Jabalia north of the Strip, and the Bureij camp in the center of the Strip, which led to the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians and the injury of dozens.

In the light of the catastrophic humanitarian conditions resulting from the continuation of the war of extermination for more than a year and the occupation’s prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid, the suffering of the Palestinians in the Strip has worsened with the onset of winter due to the severe cold and rainfall, as seawater swept through the tents of the displaced people set up on the beach of Mawasi Khan Yunis south of the Strip, and rainwater also flooded the tents in various northern, central, and southern areas.

Bassam Zaqout, director of medical relief in the southern Gaza Strip, said: Hunger and cold are two plagues that are killing the people of Gaza Strip at this stage, pointing out that there are appeals from dozens of displaced families during the night hours to shelter them, after the rainwater flooded their tents and left them homeless.

Amjad Al-Shawa, head of the NGO Network in Gaza Strip, warned of the seriousness of the situation due to hunger and rain, calling on the international community to intervene urgently to stop the aggression and open the crossings to bring in relief and food aid and save the lives of the displaced, especially children and the elderly.
