100 families of martyrs honored in Hasakah marking Evacuation Day

Hasakah – (ST) – Hasakah governorate held a reception with the participation of official, social and religious activities, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of  Evacuation Day.

During the ceremony, which was held in the Hall of Honor in the governorate building, 100 families of martyrs were honored in recognition of the sacrifices and heroism of their sons who defend the homeland’s dignity and safety.

The speeches delivered during the reception indicated the great meaning of the Evacuation Day for the people of Syria, as it recalls the most wonderful examples of sacrifice and heroism by the revolutionsries  to liberate the Syrian territory from the French colonizers.

The speeches also stressed the ability of the Syrians to confront the attempts of all the parties that try to undermine Syria and its role in the region.

Dr. Louai Sayoh, the governor of Hasakah said during the honoring of  the families of the martyrs: “the families of the martyrs have honored us by their participation in this celebration”, pointing out that the people of Syria will achieve the final victory over terrorism.

For his part, Secretary of the Hasakah Branch of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Turki Aziz Hassan said:  “Honoring the families of the martyrs on Evacuation Day is a tribute to heroism and sacrifice and to those who offered their lives in defense of the homeland”.

The father of the martyr, Khalil Hammoud Bakr Al-Jadou, said: “Martyrdom is a value and a source of pride, and today we celebrate the anniversary of heroism and the glorious history that our ancestors wrote, and we will remain loyal until victory is achieved”.

In the same context, the Syrian Communist Party in the Syrian Al-Jazira region ( Hasakah) held a political symposium at the Arab Cultural Center in Qamishli under the title “The Glorious Evacuation”
