Determined to Pursue Fight against Terrorism
DAMASCUS, (ST)_ The Syrians are determined to pursue their fight against terrorism in cooperation with the friendly countries, on top of them is cooperation with Iran and Russia which would also pave the way for achieving a political solution decided by the Syrians themselves, underscored H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad.
Receiving the visiting Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Jabri Ansari and an accompanying delegation, President Assad discussed with the Iranian delegation the standing bilateral strategic relations between Syria and Iran and the shared desire as to bolster them on all levels, particularly in the fight against terrorism and in the ongoing exerted efforts as to make success of the coming Sochi-held Syrian National Dialogue Conference.
The talks also discussed the risks of the continued Turkish aggression against the Syrian territories and the crimes perpetrated against the Syrian civilians.
The means of encountering such Turkish aggression were also discussed as to deter the aggression from achieving its schemes at to occupy Syrian land and support the terrorist organizations and crushing the exerted efforts as to find a peaceful solution restoring security and stability to Syria.
Mr. Ansari reiterated Iran’s continued support to Syria especially when it comes to the fight against terrorism and the restoration of stability and contribution to the rebuilding of what terrorism destroyed in Syria.
