Tehran affirms the Zionist aggression caused limited damage

TEHRAN, Oct.26, (ST)- Iranian air defenses confronted at dawn today a Zionist aggression that targeted several points in the country.

Iranian media confirmed that the air defenses managed to shoot down hostile targets that attempted to hit several points in the country, noting that no military centers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were targeted.

It reported that the Iranian air defense succeeded in confronting most of the Israeli attacks and that the aggression was weak and failed and resulted in limited damage, noting that the Zionist entity sought to exaggerate the size of its weak attack, and that its claim that it targeted 20 sites in Iran is not true.

According to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA), the public relations office of the Iranian air defense command issued a statement announcing that Israeli airstrikes against military centers in Tehran, the western province of Ilam, and the southwestern province of Khuzestan have been intercepted and countered successfully.

“On Saturday, the Islamic Republic’s air defense system command confirmed the airstrikes, stating they were part of Israel’s escalating measures and caused limited damage. Despite Iran’s warnings against Israel’s adventurous actions, these aggressions occurred,,” the statement added.

It also urged people to remain calm, maintain solidarity, and rely only on news from state media. It called on the nation to ignore enemy media rumors.

The media in addition reported that Iran and Iraq suspended all flights over their national airspace immediately after the Zionist aggression.

On the other hand, the official spokesman for the Tehran Oil Refinery denied the allegations of the Zionist entity about targeting the refinery in the attack launched at dawn today, stressing that the refinery is currently operating as usual.

The spokesman said in a press statement today: “No facility in this refinery was subjected to an attack, and production in this refining unit is proceeding as usual.”

He stressed that the air defense system at the refinery is fully prepared and ready to deter any potential targeting.
