“Supermarket” a play by Ayman Zeidan performed at the Arab Theater Authority Festival in Casablanca

Damascus (ST): The play “Supermarket”, directed by the distinguished Syrian artist Ayman Zeidan, which he prepared in cooperation with the writer Mahmoud Al-Jafouri, is participating in the activities of the thirteenth session of the Arab Theater Authority Festival, which will be held in Casablanca, Maghreb, from the 10th to the 17th of January.

The work, which was produced by the Directorate of Theaters and Music at the Ministry of Culture and was shown on the stage of Al-Hamra Theater in Damascus in 2021, expresses a set of successive situations in which we see  the harshness of life mixed with its painful realism with the comedy of the situation stemming from the depth of suffering.

The play is based on a play titled  (Don’t Pay the Price) by Italian playwright Dario Fo.

Actors Hazem Zeidan, Lama Bodour, Qusay Qudsia, Sally Ahmed, Hossam Salama and Khosnaf Zaza participated in the play.
