Profits of the General Organization for Food Industries valued at (SYP) 32 billion in 2022

The value of the products that have been produced by the companies of the General Organization for Food Industries since the beginning of 2022 and until November of the same year is 157 billion Syrian Pounds (SYP).

Director of the Organization Ibrahim Nasra said that all the products of the companies have been marketed, estimating the profits before paying the taxes during this period at (SYP) 32 billion, achieved mainly by water companies, as well as Homs Grapes, Damascus Canned Food, Homs Dairy Products ,Damascus Dairy Products, Hama Oil, Sweida Grapes, Aleppo Oil and Salamiyeh Onion drying plants.

Nasra explained the organization’s plan for 2023, clarifying that the organization’s final budget amounted to SYP 14486 million, of which SYP 13371 million were allocated for replacement and renewing operations and SYP 1115 million were allocated for new projects, the most important of which is establishing a unit for filling Al-Fawwar Spring water named “Golan” in Quneitra.

Nasra noted some obstacles facing the production process, including securing raw materials necessary for achieving the production process.
