Israeli bulldozers knock down house in Al-Quds

In the same context,  the  Israeli occupation authorities today demolished a Palestinian house in East Al-Quds neighborhood of Silwan, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that the Israeli police forces sent two bulldozers to the neighborhood, where they cordoned off a house under construction belonging to Mohammad al-‘Awar, assaulting his family members, including women, and preventing them from approaching the house. The bulldozers demolished the 200-square-meter house, reducing it to rubbles, claiming that the house was illegaly built.

He added that the demolition was carried out although the case of the house was still pending at an Israeli court and no final ruling was passed, rendering a family of 10 members homeless.

Using the pretext of illegal building, Israel demolishes houses on a regular basis to restrict Palestinian expansion in occupied Al-Quds.

At the same time, the municipality and government build tens of thousands of housing units in illegal settlements in East Al-Quds for Jews with a goal to offset the demographic balance in favor of the Jewish settlers in the occupied city.
