More than a thousand children benefit from “Dafa 11” campaign

The number of beneficiaries of the “Dafa 11” campaign launched by the “Gheras” Development Association in Damascus to help a number of the neediest families secure winter clothes has reached more than 1,000 children, according to the association’s vice-chairman, Sahar Gabriel.
In a statement to SANA, Gabriel explained that the campaign is launched annually at the beginning of winter to ease the economic burdens on these families, as the first phase of the campaign included distributing coats, winter clothes, and socks, in addition to some food items, to families registered with the association.
Gabriel pointed out that the campaign is still ongoing to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries from the most needy families in Damascus according to the donations that are being provided to the association.
She indicated the association is working on a group of programs that contribute to providing material and educational aid to a number of orphan families in addition to caring for a number of students whose financial circumstances prevent them from completing their education.
