Major General Rasoul: The bombing of a security headquarters in Baghdad is a terrorist attack and a blatant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and security.

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, has announced today that the Iraqi forces hold the US-led international coalition responsible for the attack on a security headquarters in Baghdad.
Major General Rasoul said in a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency “INA”: “In a blatant assault and violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and security, a drone committed an act no different from terrorist acts, targeting one of the security headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, which led to casualties in this attack.” “The incident is completely rejected.”
The Iraqi spokesman added: “The Iraqi Armed Forces hold the international coalition forces responsible for this unprovoked attack on an Iraqi security body that operates according to the powers granted to it by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,” pointing out that “this undermines all understandings between the Iraqi armed forces and the international coalition forces.” .
Rasoul considered that “this targeting is a dangerous escalation and assault on Iraq, far from the spirit and letter of the mandate, and the work for which the international coalition was created.”
This afternoon, a US occupation forces drone targeted one of the headquarters of the Baghdad Belt Operations Forces of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces within the Iraqi Ministry of Interior square, east of Baghdad.
An Iraqi security source said that “an American drone bombed the logistical support headquarters in the 12th Brigade of the Mobilization Forces, and a vehicle in which the Deputy Commander of Baghdad Belt Operations, Mushtaq Talib Al-Saeedi, was traveling with four guided missiles,” explaining that “the American terrorist aggression resulted in the martyrdom of Al-Saeedi, his assistant, and another fighter of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in addition to wounding a number of fighters, and causing material damage to the headquarters.
