Maduro affirms his country’s rejection of Israeli attacks against Palestinian and Lebanese peoples

CARACAC, Oct.5( ST)-Today, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, affirmed his country’s categorical rejection of the Israeli attacks and the policy of genocide committed against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.

During his meeting with the Lebanese Ambassador to Venezuela, Elias Labbous, Maduro stressed that these attacks come within the framework of a project of hegemony and colonialism over the Arab-Islamic world and the Middle East.

Maduro declared that the Venezuelan government has adopted a series of practical measures to express its support and solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, including organizing a humanitarian support team to help victims of Israeli attacks in the affected areas, mobilizing the Arab and Lebanese community in Venezuela to coordinate solidarity actions with the brothers in Lebanon and Palestine, and forming Global movement against the Israeli attacks.

He added that Venezuela will call for forming a movement of resistance against and condemnation of the attacks of the Israeli entity in an unprecedented step, so that this movement will be at the forefront of defending the rights of Arab and Islamic peoples.

Maduro stressed that Venezuela is always committed to the just cause of Palestine and Lebanon, noting the importance of international unity to confront injustice in the region.

He concluded by saying: “Venezuela stands and will always stand by Lebanon and Palestine in their just struggle for sovereignty and self-determination.”
