Iran Enemies in Position of Weakness, Says Iran’s Minister of Defense

Thanks to Iran’s progress in science and defense, the enemies of the Islamic Establishment are now in a position of weakness, said Iran’s minister of defense on Sunday.

‘A significant achievement of the Islamic Establishment is making the country independent of the Arrogance in the areas of health and security,’ Brigadier-General Amir Hatami told a group of academics in Shiraz.

Saying that health and security are actually among the basic needs of people, he added, ‘When losing either of them, one will appreciate them.’

He also said that the scientific laboratories should predict the needs of the future thirty years and move toward addressing them.

Deterrence, which is a national and ideological value for Iran, should be monitored and updated second by second, he said.

‘If the enemies, even for a second, think that we are in the position of weakness, they will impose their ominous plot in form of a war, as they did in the eight-year sacred defense against Iraq.’
