Ramadan Al-Khair Festival (Syria btgmana ) continues in the old fairgrounds in Damascus. 250 industrial and commercial companies participate in it, and it is organized by the Damascus Governorate in cooperation with the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Damascus and its countryside.
Participants in the festival present a variety of food products, including confectionery, canned goods, sweets, pasta and jams, in addition to detergents of all kinds, women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, leather and household electrical appliances.
Companies present offers at various rates less than the market from 15 to 25 percent, in addition to promotional offers that help in marketing the product during the exhibition.
More than 30 wounded people from different governorates participated with their crafts and their various products, including foodstuffs, cheese, dairy, juices, oriental antiques, wood, leather, clothes, sweets and other handcrafted products within the wounded independent production projects with the best specifications and the highest quality.
The aim of the festival is to provide the opportunity for direct selling of the product to the consumer. This offers a large variety of goods that satisfy the tastes of consumers and leads to the cooperation of all participants as a charitable act to reduce the burdens on citizens.
It is noteworthy that this festival is held annually as a continuation of the initiative of goodness that was launched last year in light of the difficult economic conditions that the country is going through by selling directly from the product to the consumer.
Abu Basel, one of the festival’s visitors, said that the festival saves time and effort, and money. He added I bought detergents, food and some clothes.Noting that the companies offer special offers, and I hope that the festival will last more than a month.
Maysa Dahman, a craftswoman, one of the participants said to Syria Times.” I participate annually in this exhibition and I consider it one of the most important exhibitions in Syria, as it provides a great opportunity for industrialists and craftsmen to promote their goods.
Although we are in the month of Ramadan, the turnout is high from visitors and the prices are encouraging.
I started my work more than 30 years ago in the manufacture of accessories and then I developed my work and worked in the manufacture of clothes, precious stones and perfumes.
Unfortunately I lost my factory in Harasta so I stopped working for a year, then I came back in 2014, and this exhibition helped me to promote my goods again.
The festival is a great idea for all the industrialists whose industry was affected by the war to begin again.”
