Beirut, (ST)- 12 people were martyred and 47 others were injured in air raids launched by the Israeli enemy today on the towns of Joun, Bint Jbeil, Ain Qana and Tebnine in south Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement, according to the Lebanese National News Agency, that an Israeli enemy raid on the town of Joun in the Chouf district led in an initial toll to the martyrdom of four people and the injury of seven others.
In a separate statement, the ministry reported that an Israeli raid on the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon led to the martyrdom of three people.
In a third statement, the ministry announced that an Israeli enemy raid on the town of Ain Qana in the south led to the martyrdom of three people and the injury of thirteen others.
According to the ministry an Israeli raid on the town of Tebnine resulted in the martyrdom of two people and the injury of twenty-seven others.
Earlier, the Lebanese media reported that the Israeli enemy continued its attacks and massacres against Lebanese civilians in various regions from south Lebanon to Bekaa in eastern Lebanon, by launching dozens of raids that killed and wounded scores of people, including women and children, and caused destruction to homes and infrastructure.
The media outlets said that the enemy wsrplanes raided at dawn today the Mashghara plain and the outskirts of Sahmar and Midoun in the western Bekaa, and the plain between the Ali al-Nahri and Al-Nasiriyah areas in the central Bekaa was subjected to a violent raid that led to power outage in a number of towns.
The enemy warplanes and drones resumed targeting the city of Baalbek and the villages of the district and its outskirts towards the road of the town of Nahle extending towards the town of Douris the villages of Janta, the outskirts of Nabi Sheet and the plain of Sarein, Brital, Taybeh, Al-Khader, Al-Jamaliyah, Shaat and Amhaz, all the wsy to Al-Labweh.
The attacks continued at night on the villages of the western and central sectors in the south of the Litani, where the enemy aircraft launched a series of raids on the town of Abbasiyeh, which led to severe material damage to property and crops, in addition to raids on the villages and towns of Iqlim Al-Tuffah, and the outskirts of the towns of Ain Qana, Kfar Melki, Houmin al-Fawqa, Sarba, Arabsalim, Jbaa, and Jarjouh were also targeted.
The enemy warplanes also launched air raids on the towns of Aba, Kawthariyat al-Sayyad, Haboush, Deir al-Zahrani, Houmin al-Fawqa, Rumin, Ain Qana, Harouf, Mifadoun, Kfar Ruman, Wadi Zefta, the heights of Jbaa, and the town of Ansar, while an Israeli air raid targeted the town of Ain Qana after midnight, leading to civilian casualties.
According to civil defense and emergency sources, the Israeli occupation raids and attacks led to the martyrdom and injuries of many people who were transferred to a number of hospitals, in addition to massive destruction of homes, buildings, factories, and schools as well.
