Weapons, ammo, including US-made TOW missiles, seized in southern region

Southern region – The competent authorities seized large quantities of weapons and various munitions, including US-made  missiles of terrorists’ remnants in the southern region.

An officer from the competent authorities told SANA that during the combing of the liberated villages in the southern region, US-made weapons, including anti-armor  TOW missiles, more than 100,000 machine-gun rounds of  23 mm and 14.5mm, in addition to equipment related to the so-called “White Helmets” were found.

He pointed out that the combing of villages and towns in the southern region is continued to lift the remnants of terrorist groups and fully secure the villages and to complete the return of people to their homes, fields and their works and to preserve their lives.

Last Monday, the competent authorities found large quantities of weapons and ammunition, including shoulder-fired anti-tank missiles, electric double cannons, B-9 cannons and satellite communication devices of terrorist organizations’ remnants in the eastern Ghouta, and the countryside of Daraa, Quneitra and Homs.
