Beirut,(ST)-Twenty members of the Lebanese army were wounded as a result of attacks by groups of rioters during the demonstrations in the cities of Sidon and Tripoli last night.
Lebanese National Agency reported that a group of rioters threw stones at the army and threw Molotov cocktails at them, which led to the injury of one person in the head. Rioters threw Molotov cocktails towards the Bank of Lebanon in Sidon, while another group of protesters rioted in Bank Street and closed a number of road with the garbage containers from the city centre.
In Tripoli, 19 soldiers were injured as a result of riots during the protests that took place in Al-Nour Square in the city and Al-Shiraa Square in Al-Mina and Al-Beddawi and its surroundings, which also injured 23 protesters.were also injured.
A number of rioters threw Molotov cocktails at a bank building in Mount Lebanon, and others burned tires in Tripoli.
