American President Donald Trump said that he planned to postpone the annual G7 summit in USA until September and that he wanted to invite Russia, South Korea, Australia and India.
During a press conference held on the American presidential plane as Trump was returning from Florida to Washington to justify his retreat from the date of the summit, saying in a statement quoted by Reuters: “I don’t feel that as a G7 it properly represents what’s going on in the world,”, “It’s a very outdated group of countries.”
Trump hopes to win a second presidential term in November by reconvening the G7 summit to show that despite the economical freeze, the USA is still able to be a plan maker.
It is to be mentioned that the postponement is a retreat from Trump, who worked to host the group’s summit in Washington next month to show that USA is recovered from Coronavirus.
