The summit of the guarantor states of the Astana process to discuss all important issues, says Vershinin
Moscow, (ST) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin affirmed that the summit of heads of state of the guarantor states of the Astana Process, scheduled for later today in Tehran, will discuss all important issues.
The Russia Today website quoted Vershinin as telling reporters today, “We have a very important meeting at a high level in Tehran with the participation of the heads of the guarantor states of the Astana formula, namely Russia, Iran and Turkey.”
The Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, affirmed yesterday that the political settlement process in Syria will be the center of attention during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Tehran.
