The so-called “Caesar Act” is a blatant interference in the capabilities and sovereignty of states, says Egyptian Parliamentarian

Cairo, (ST) – Egyptian parliamentarian Elizabeth Abdel-Messih Shaker denounced the unilateral coercive measures and the economic embargo imposed by the United States on Syria, the latest of which is the so-called “Caesar Act”.

In a special statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo, Shaker pointed out that the US administration has consistently taken such measures that aim only to subjugate and dominate other countries. In this context, the economic blockade and the so-called American “Caesar Act” against Syria came to constitute a new unacceptable interference in the capabilities and sovereignty of countries.

Shaker affirmed that Syria, with its steadfastness, is able to face this illegal “Act” and stand in the face of any threat to its sovereignty.
