The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns the establishment of settlement outposts in the West Bank

On September 7th, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to establish three settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The establishment of these outposts is a blatant challenge to the relevant United Nations resolutions, and a continuing disregard for international positions demanding a halt to settlement activity.”

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the double standards in applying international law, the failure of the international community to implement international legitimacy resolutions, and countries’ contentment with some formal positions and statements that do not translate into real actions, all encourage the occupation authorities to accelerate the expansion of settlement at the expense of the land of the State of Palestine.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community to shoulder its full responsibilities in imposing deterrent sanctions on the occupation authorities, to force them to stop settlement activity.
