Tens of Civilians Martyred and Wounded in New US-Led Coalition Massacre in Deir Ezzour Eastern Countryside
DEIR EZZOUR, (ST)-The US-led Coalition airstrikes on Monday targeted residential areas in al-Mayadin city in Syria’s eastern province of Deir Ezzour, killing and injuring tens of civilians.
Local sources told SANA reporter that the international coalition warplanes Monday morning targeted al-Fansh crossroad in the city of Mayadin, about 45 kilometers east of Deir Ezzour, during the rush hours when people go to their works, agricultural lands and shops. Tens of civilians were martyred and wounded in the airstrikes and huge damage was caused to infrastructure and properties.
On July 18, the Washington-led coalition attacked civilians’ houses in al-Kishkeya town on the left bank of the Euphrates, killing and wounding scores of people and destroying locals’ houses and properties.
On June 27, 28 and 29, the coalition committed three massacres against the Syrians in Deir Ezzour countryside. The airstrikes claimed the lives of more than 90 civilians most of them were children and women.
In addition, the international coalition used the internationally-banned white phosphorus bombs on June 9 during its aggression against the western outskirts of Raqqa city and several surrounding areas leading to the martyrdom of 17 civilians.
Washington, which has been leading an international coalition it had formed outside the international legitimacy and without the approval of the Security Council since 2014, claims that it is fighting international terrorism in Syria, while in fact it is attacking the Syrian infrastructure and committing massacres against civilians.
