Syria, Venezuela to enhance cooperation in the domains of oil and gas

Damascus, (ST) – During his meeting today with the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus José Gregorio Biomorgi Mousates the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Firas Qaddour discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the domains of oil and gas.

The meeting discussed issues of common interest, in a way that achieves mutual benefits and common interests of the two countries.

Minister Qaddour stressed the need to expand cooperation in the oil, gas and mineral resources sectors and to activate the signed agreements in a way that reflects positively on the economies of the two countries. He referred to the strength of the relations between the two countries.

The Minister of Oil invited Venezuelan companies to participate in exhibitions specialized in the field of oil and gases, exchange experiences, and learn about investment opportunities available in Syria.

Ambassador Mousates reiterated his country’s interest in deepening bilateral relations, looking forward to achieving high levels of cooperation that meet the ambitions and aspirations of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

It was agreed to hold a meeting via video during the coming period between the oil ministers of Syria and Venezuela to discuss prospects of cooperation and develop an action plan for the next stage of joint cooperation between the two sides.
