Shamkhani: We oppose any move to change geopolitics of the region

Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, affirmed that his country opposes any step that would lead to changes in the geopolitics of the region.

After arriving at Yerevan airport today, Shamkhani said that the Iranian government’s initial policy is concerned with expanding and deepening relations with neighboring countries, describing his visit to Armenia as coming in this context.

Shamkhani expressed his hope that negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan will lead to realizing peace within the framework of preserving the territorial integrity of the two countries.
