Russian researcher: OPCW’s recent report reflects its biased & illegal nature

Moscow (ST): Senior researcher at the International Relations University affiliated to the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri Zenin  affirmed that the latest report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) about Syria confirms the  biased and illegal nature of the Organization.

In a statement he made to the news correspondent in Moscow, Zenin said that the OPCW exceeded its powers by accusing Syria of using chemical weapons, stressing that its conclusions depended on remote investigation and statements made by those who were involved in terrorist acts.

Zenin added that this manner has been used several times by the terrorist White Helmet organization which was disclosed by all except the OPCW  that believes in its false allegations that aim to achieve political objectives and launch campaigns against  Syrian government. This contradicts the efforts exerted to reach a political settlement for the crisis in Syria.

He noted that the unilateral coercive economic sanctions imposed on Syria impede  ensuring the medical equipment and medicine Syria requires to combat the spread of Corona virus pandemic.
