Russian Foreign Ministry: Civil areas in Ukraine are not targets for our forces

Moscow (ST): The Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated that civil areas of Ukraine are not targets of strikes by Russian forces during the special military operation to protect Donbas.

Alexey Bolchuk, director of the Second CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told RIA Novosti news agency:  “Our forces, together with the forces of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, are systematically implementing all the tasks set for the liberation of Donbas, the demilitarization of Ukraine and the elimination of threats emanating from its territory to Russia”. He stressed that civil areas and the civilian population of Ukraine are not targets of strikes or targeting.

Bolchuk indicated that what was targeted in Kremenchug were weapons depots imported from the West, and not a shopping center.
