Public security forces foil criminal attacks on sites belonging to Interior Ministry in Lattakia

LATTAKIA, JAN.25, (ST)-Yesterday, some outlaw elements carried out criminal attacks on sites belonging to Interior Ministry after some media outlets had circulated false information about the withdrawal of public security forces from several locations in Lattakia Governorate.

Those attacks were foiled and 3 attackers were eliminated, according to Director of Security Department in Lattakia Governorate, LT. Colonel Mustafa Kneifati, who asserted that security forces’ operations will continue to pursue the escaped criminals.

“These rumors and actions aim to destabilize public security and stability in the country, and we-once again- stress the need to be careful and not believe a such false news. We will take strict measures against anyone who tries to undermine the country’s security,” LT. Colonel Kneifati told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA)
