Several Lebanese cities and regions witnessed protests today ,due to the continued deterioration of economic and living conditions and the rise in consumer prices.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that large numbers of protesters gathered in the Martyrs Square in central Beirut and drove through the streets of the city, raising the Lebanese flags as a confirmation of their continuation of the protests, which the country witnessed several months ago.
A number of protesters also gathered at the intersection of the Ring to proceed towards the UNESCO , coinciding with the legislative session of the Lebanese Parliament.
In Tripoli, Saida, Al-Matn, Baalbek, and Jounieh, similar protests were organized to reject the economic situation and the high prices of consumer goods and demand the fight against corruption.
Lebanon has witnessed since the 17th of last October, large popular protests to demand the improvement of living conditions, fight financial corruption and hold the corrupt accountable.
