President Abbas: Occupation plans of annexing parts of the West Bank are a violation of international law
Occupied al-Quds, (ST) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas renewed his condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s plans to annex parts of the West Bank, stressing that it is illegal and a deliberate violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
Abbas said in a speech today quoted by Wafa News Agency that the annexation of any inch of occupied Palestinian land is rejected and invalid, and we reject what is called “the deal of the century” and all American-Israeli plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue.
Abbas called for the establishment of an international multilateral mechanism to help solve the Palestinian issue and reactivate the role of the international quartet committee “Russia, the United States, the United Nations and the European Union” in this regard.
Abbas called on the European Union, the International Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly to take immediate and urgent steps to stop the settlement occupation plans and recognize the Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with al-Quds as its capital.
