Prayers in churches of occupied Palestinian Galilee for the souls of earthquake victims in Syria

Prayers were held today in the churches of Galilee in the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948 for the souls of the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria.

The worshipers begged God to have mercy on the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured and peace and security for Syria.

In a statement to a SANA reporter in the occupied Syrian Golan, Father Michael Asi, the priest of the parish of Fasutah in the Galilee, said: “The pictures we see in Syria as a result of the earthquake are chilling. We hope that the coming days will be good days for Syria, and that God will grant it peace after years of war against it.”

Asi added: “Mercy be upon the victims of the earthquake in Syria, and we pray for the wounded and the injured, wishing them a speedy recovery, praying to God to lift the calamity from Syria and its people.

The churches of Galilee had launched support campaigns for the people in Syria, which met with a great turnout from the Palestinians, who emphasized that the wound and the blood are the same, and that what hurts Syria hurts Palestine.
