Palestinian Presidency: Occupation attempts to change the historical and legal reality in Al-Aqsa Mosque doomed to failure

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Presidency affirmed that the attempts of the Israeli occupation authorities to change the historical and legal reality in Al-Aqsa Mosque and to Judaize it are rejected and doomed to failure.

In a statement on Tuesday, the presidential spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, condemned the storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque by “Itamar Ben Gvir,” the minister in the occupation government. He warned that the continued violations of the occupation against Islamic and Christian sanctities will lead to an explosive result.

Abu Rudeineh called on the US administration to force the occupation authorities to stop their escalation and incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque before it is too late.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the “Ben Gvir” storming into Al-Aqsa. It stressed that it was an unprecedented provocation and a serious threat.

The Foreign Ministry pointed out that the occupation is trying to intensify the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa by guarding its forces, which provide them with protection to commit the most heinous crimes and attacks against the mosque.

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf also warned of the consequences of the occupation’s Judaization measures against Al-Aqsa Mosque on the stability of the entire region. It called on the international community to work seriously to stop the occupation’s violations of the Palestinian Islamic and Christian sanctities.

In turn, the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh indicated that the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa are a clear and flagrant violation of all international resolutions. He stressed that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast on their land. “They continue to defend their sanctities, and the city of Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of Palestine”, Fattouh added.
