Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns the occupation’s incitement campaign against the United Nations

Occupied Al-Quds,(ST)- The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the fierce incitement campaign launched by the Israeli occupation against the United Nations, its agencies and officials, stressing that it is an attempt to prevent them from documenting and exposing its crimes.

According to WAFA News Agency ,the Foreign Ministry today stressed in a statement that this campaign is part of a systematic Israeli policy which has been going on for 76 years, aiming to undermine the work of the United Nations and delegitimize its role in confronting settlements and Israel’s attempt to eliminate the Palestinian presence through crimes of genocide and forced displacement.

The Foreign Ministry clarified that this ongoing campaign, which recently targeted the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, also aims to distract attention from the ongoing war crimes and genocide that include the Israeli settlement project that has been escalating for decades, in addition to the occupation’s attempt to prevent UN experts from documenting and exposing these violations.

The Foreign Ministry called on all countries to abide by their commitments to the United Nations and human rights, noting that some countries that supported this campaign have become partners in supporting the genocide and Israeli violations.  It stressed that Palestine will continue to cooperate with UN rapporteur Albanese, especially in the context of presenting her upcoming report before the United Nations General Assembly.
