Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Al-Arouri’s assassination is an attempt by the occupation to cover up its failure in Gaza Strip

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s assassination of the leader in the Palestinian resistance movement Saleh Al-Arouri and his companions is an attempt to cover up its failure in Gaza Strip.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that despite the passage of 89 days since the genocidal war waged by the occupation against Gaza Strip and the massive destruction and forced displacement it caused, the occuption couldn’t not achieve its goals from this war, and therefore it committed the crime of assassinating Al-Arouri and his companions to cover up this failure.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation is resorting to escalation and prolonging the war to implement its colonial plans by deepening the crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, which leads to the martyrdom of 200 Palestinians every 24 hours, according to the United Nations.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community to put words into actions, take punitive and deterrent measures to put an end to the Israeli displacement plan, and make a real effort for an immediate ceasefire.
