Pace of Israeli occupation’s settlement activities and daily violations against the Palestinians has gravely escalated

The Palestinian National Bureau for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements has stressed that the pace of the Israeli occupation’s settlement activities and daily violations against the Palestinians has gravely escalated as the world is busy fighting the novel coronavirus.

The bureau said in its weekly report that the Israeli entity and the US Administration are about to conclude the final agreement on the maps that include the annexed parts of the West Bank and the Jordan Vally. This move comes as part of the so-called (Deal of the Century) and amid the world’s engagement in fighting the deadly covid 19 pandemic, the report added.

The report pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to demolish the Palestinians’ houses and properties as part of the occupation’s systematic schemes to separate the West Bank’s northern areas from its Southern areas.

According to the report, 15,000 settlement units have been built during the past two years and a half. Other already built settlements have been expanded and wide areas of lands in the West Bank and the north of occupied al-Quds have been seized by the occupation.

In the same context, the Israeli occupation and settlers keep committing violations against the Palestinians through storming their houses, detaining youths, opening fire on them, vandalizing their properties, destroying their lands and burning their crops in a blatant violation of international laws.

The report went on to say that the Israeli settlers attacked the Palestinians in Silwan town in occupied al-Quds under the protection of the occupation forces. Two  Palestinians were wounded in the attack.
