Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has reiterated the Palestinian people’s adherence to their legitimate and inalienable rights, stressing the Palestinian steadfastness in confrontation of the Israeli conspiracies and suspicious deals that aim to liquidate the Palestine question.
Wafa News Agency quoted Abbas as saying on the 72nd anniversary of Nakba that the makers of the Palestinian Nakba wanted to make Palestine a land without people for a people without land to wipe out the name of Palestine from all historical records. To achieve this end, he added, the Israeli occupation authorities committed the ugliest massacres and hatched sinister plans, the most recent of which is the ill-famed deal of the century.
Abbas went on to say that all these plans and conspiracies would not break the strong will of the great Palestinian people. He warned against the acceleration of the Zionist Judaization and settlement plans because of the US bias, the most recent of which is the occupation authorities’ intention to annex parts of the West Bank.
Concluding his speech, the Palestinian president affirmed that the Palestinians would press ahead with their struggle confidently to restore their rights fully.
