Minister of Internal Trade discusses with a Libyan delegation ways to enhance cooperation in the economic fields

Damascus-(ST)- Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Mohsen Abdel Karim Ali, during his meeting yesterday with a Libyan parliamentary delegation led by Youssef Ibrahim Al-Aqouri, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan Parliament, discussed mechanisms for effective and fruitful cooperation in the commercial and economic fields between the two countries.

Ali pointed to the elements of joint work between Syria and Libya that could lead to positive results for the economies of the two countries, stressing that there are real prospects that allow the improvement of relations between the two countries.

He also noted the necessity of organizing and activating work paths through bilateral memorandums of understanding and holding exhibitions for Syrian products of all kinds in Libya due to its comprehensive diversity, in addition to the quality, tradition, and good reputation it enjoys at the regional and global levels, stressing the importance of working to overcome all obstacles to enhance prospects for cooperation and joint work.

For his part, Al-Aqouri stressed keenness on real cooperation with the Syrian side in all fields, especially trade exchange and coordination of visits and partnership at all levels.
