Military operations in three Iraqi governorates to chase down remnants of terrorists

On May 17, Iraqi forces launched the ‘Lions of Al-Jazeera’ military operations in the desert of three governorates to chase down the remnants of the terrorists.

“This morning, the Lions of Aljazeera operations began to search the desert of Aljazeera, north of Anbar Governorate, south of Nineveh Governorate, and west of Salahuddin Governorate, up to the international borders with the Syrian Arab Republic. The operations are carried out under  the supervision of the Joint Operations Command and with the support of the Air Force,” Alsumaria News website quoted the security media cell as saying in a statement.

 

The cell said that this process comes to boost security and stability in these areas, to pursue terrorist elements and to arrest those wanted.

The joint Iraqi forces continue their security operations in a number of Iraqi provinces and regions to pursue and eliminate the remnants of ISIS terrorists.
