The Libyan National Army announced on Tuesday that their air defense forces shot down a Turkish drone in the south of the capital of Tripoli.
The drone was launched from the Mitiga Airbase in Tripoli.
The Libyan National Army’s Military Media Division confirmed on Twitter, that “the air forces of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces targeted a Turkish drone that took off from the Mitiga military base, and it was shot down in the southern part of the capital.”
Three days ago, the Libyan army downed 2 Turkish drones over the western side of Libya.
Since the NATO aggression on Libya in 2011, the country has witnessed a state of chaos amid the spread of terrorist organizations that try to have hegemony over the cities.
The situation has become more complicated when new terrorist groups have been sent by the Turkish regime from the north of Syria.
