Kremlin : We consider US intelligence’s very insolent behavior towards Russian diplomats “unacceptable”

MOSCOW, May.16, (ST)-Moscow has received  information about threats against employees of the Russian Embassy in the US and shares  Ambassador Antonov’s concerns in this regard, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

“The Kremlin has such information. We indeed share the concerns of the head of our diplomatic mission in the US,” he said, answering a question.

“We consider the very insolent behavior of representatives of US intelligence towards our citizens, employees of our foreign institutions to be unacceptable,” the spokesman underscored.

Previously, Ambassador Antonov said that employees of the Russian Embassy in the US receive threats, including threats of violence. The envoy noted that agents of US intelligence agencies are “loitering” nearby, “giving away CIA and FBI phone numbers that could be used to establish ‘contacts’.” Antonov also noted that anti-Russian rallies take place at the embassy every day, and even acts of vandalism take place from time to time.
