Khamenei: Iran’s great capabilities makes it able to confront challenges

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei today emphasized that Iran has great capabilities that make it able to confront and overcome the challenges facing it, including the emerging Coronavirus.

In a televised speech today on the occasion of the coming Iranian New Year, Khamenei said that “Iran is confronting the Corona pandemic that has spread throughout the world which in turn requires reliance on reason and good work.”

This pandemic will be eliminated as soon as possible in Iran and abroad, Khemenei said, recommending Iranians for the time being abide by the decisions of the National Committee to Combat Coronavirus. ”

“With unity, we passed a very difficult year, and I thank the Iranians for showing this unity and solidarity,” Khamenei added, calling the new year as the year of the productive renaissance.

Regarding the alleged American offers to help Iran to confront the Coronavirus, Khamenei stressed that these offers are “strange in light of the shortage and problems that Washington is facing in confronting the virus, and as the Americans are accused of making the virus and spreading it, so they cannot be trusted.”

Khamenei stressed that “the United States is the most insidious enemy of Iran and its leaders are impostors and terrorists.”

Khamenei pointed out that his country has made tremendous steps and has scientists and researchers achieving significant scientific and productive developments and that it has benefited from American sanctions to achieve self-sufficiency in all fields, stressing the need to achieve a “qualitative step in production”, especially in this period.

Head of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration, Mohammad Reza Shanah Shaz, announced that Iran had produced a synthetic drug to treat the Coronavirus, which would be ready in the market within 7 to 10 days.
