Iraqi Forces start the operation of “Desert Lions” to pursue the remnants of ISIS

Baghdad, (ST) – The Iraqi Forces announced this morning a massive military operation named (Desert Lions) to pursue the remnants of ISIS in Anbar, western Iraq.

According to al- Sumaria site, The operation of “Desert Lions” started with the inspection of Wadi Houran region , Al-Hussainiyyat, and Al-Kara”, and this operation run through nine axes with the support of the Iraqi Air Force to enhance security and stability in these areas.

“Desert Lions” until now has resulted in the elimination of three ISIS terrorist leaders in al Madham area and the destruction of  a vehicle carrying explosive devices”, a later statement by al- Sumaria site said.

Iraqi forces destroyed yesterday seven ISIS terrorists during security operations in Salah al-Din Governorate, in the center of the country.
