Iranian parliamentary delegation in Aleppo: We stand in solidarity with the Syrian people in facing the humanitarian catastrophe
The Vice-President of the Iranian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Association in the Islamic Shoura council in Iran, Dr. Abbas Kalro and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him, offered condolences over the victims of the earthquake expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in facing this humanitarian catastrophe.
During a meeting today with the Governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab, the Iranian delegation affirmed their support for the Syrian people, the continuation of cooperation and the strengthening of friendly relations to face common challenges.
In turn, the Governor of Aleppo referred to the depth of the historical relations that bind the two friendly peoples and the positions of the Iranian friends and their standing by the Syrian people during the unjust terrorist war, pointing out that the axis of resistance made victories in the face of terrorism.
The governor noted the contributions of the Iranian friends in the recovery and reconstruction phase, noting that from the first moments of the earthquake they were with the work team in Aleppo, where they participated in all rescue operations and support in the relief and humanitarian efforts for those affected.
The governor explained the reality of the province and the damage resulted from the earthquake, calling for lifting the unfair sanctions imposed on the two friendly peoples and countries.
In a statement to reporters, Kalro made it clear that this visit to Damascus and Aleppo aims at offering condolences and solidarity, and at confirming that the leadership and people in Iran stand by their Syrian brothers and will provide humanitarian and relief aid to those affected by the earthquake.
