Damascus, (ST) – A Divine mass was held in St. Sarkis Orthodox Church in Damascus today to celebrate the glorious birthday of Christ headed by Archbishop Armash Nalbandian, Archbishop of the Armenian Orthodox Church of the Diocese of Damascus and its dependencies.
Bishop Nalbandian delivered the holiday sermon, which included the message of His Holiness, Catholics Karikin II, Catholics of all Armenians, on the occasion of Christmas, which is recited in all Armenian churches around the world.
Bishop Nalbandian referred to the sublime meanings of Christmas, calling on worshippers to follow the instructions of Christ, the Messenger of Love and Peace, who devoted his life to save mankind from the abomination of sins and generalize the principles of love, goodness, justice and peace among all people.
Bishop Nalbandian condemned the terrorist war on Syria, stressing that Syria will always be a beacon for nations in promoting the spirit of fraternity, and that the spirit of its children will remain the greatest guarantor of its existence in the face of sedition and conspiracies.
He called for making this blessed day, a day of evaluation and of recognition of the blessings that God Almighty has given us.
He concluded his speech by praying to God to grant peace to Syria and its people in the entire world and to the Syrian Arab army as well as congratulations and heartfelt wishes to the Syrian Arab army.
