Health Minister inspects rehabilitation works in “Al-Basel” Hospital in Qerdaha city

LATTAKIA, NOV.9, (ST)-The Minister of Health Ahmed Damiriyeh accompanied by the head of the Syrian Doctors Syndicate Ghassan Fendi, was briefed on the rehabilitation stages and expansion work of the emergency department in “Al-Basel” Hospital in the city of Qerdaha in Lattakia governorate, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency added that the department will be put into service and begin receiving patients according to the specified timetable.

In a statement to reporters after the tour, the hospital’s director Bassem Saleh, said that the expansion would help increase the capacity to 15 beds, including 5 beds for emergency intensive care patients, and enhance the ability to respond to critical and emergency cases quickly, efficiently and effectively.

Saleh pointed out that putting the CT and mammography machines in service will be an added value to the hospital in terms of improving the quality and speed of diagnostic services and providing more accurate results, which enables doctors to make faster medical decisions and enhances the hospital’s ability to better meet patients’ needs, thus reducing effort and costs.
