Germany and Russia need each other despite the deterioration of relations, says German Ambassador to Moscow

Moscow, (ST) – German Ambassador to Moscow Geza Andreas von Geyer announced that Russian-German relations deteriorated rapidly after the 24th of last February, yet the two countries will still need each other in many ways.

“When I look at what the situation was like at the beginning of February, what it is today and the prospects for the future, this is a real breakdown that seriously affects those who advocated good interaction between the peoples of the two countries,” von Geyer said, according to RIA Novosti Agency.

“Cooperation in many areas, it seems, will be more difficult,” von Geyer said. He added that, at the same time, that Russia and Germany as geographical neighbors will still need each other in many ways.
