Electrical and mechanical damage caused to Mhardeh thermal power plant due to terrorist rocket attack
Hama – The armed groups positioned in the northern countryside of Hama fired on Tuesday morning more than 12 rocket shells on Mhardeh thermal power plant in Hama countryside in a new violation of the de-escalation zones memorandum in Syria.
A source at Hama Police Command said that the armed groups fired more than 12 rocket shells which landed in the surroundings of the Mhardeh power plant, 25km north of the city of Mhardeh, causing electrical and mechanical damage to the plant, SANA reported.
The source added that one of the rocket shells fell on a tank loaded with large amounts of fuel near the entrance of the plant, causing the burning of the tank and thick black smoke in the area.
