Economic terrorism is a disgrace to US, says Alireza Miryousefi
TEHRAN, (ST) – The Spokesman of the Iranian Mission to the United Nations, Alireza Miryousefi, condemned the policy of economic terrorism pursued by America, referring to it as a “stigma” against Washington.
“US focuses its efforts on the practice of economic terrorism against the Iranian people instead of focusing on helping its citizens in the midst of the Corona virus crisis,” the Iranian Fars News Agency quoted Miryousefi as saying.
Miryousefi added, “Such useless practices will not have impact on Iran’s strategic calculations.”
The US Treasury announced yesterday the imposition of new economic sanctions against Iran that affected the (Taif) Mining Company, in the context of the hostile policies pursued by Washington against independent countries that do not follow its approach.
