DPRK: Washington will pay the price for its joint exercises with South Korea

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea DPRK’s Foreign Ministry has criticized the US-South Korean joint exercises, stressing that Washington will pay the price for these exercises.

The Korean Central News Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement yesterday: The United States should be ready to pay the price, in response to its joint exercises with South Korea, which is considered as a scenario of nuclear war against the Democratic Republic of Korea.

The statement stressed that the United States is raising regional tensions through a series of joint exercises it conducted this year, the latest of which was the large-scale air exercises it carried out this week, noting that the Korean Peninsula remains a hot spot witnessing the most serious military tensions in the world, and the security conditions in the region have become bleak. .

The forces of South Korea and the United States earlier began large-scale joint air exercises, in a new provocation that contributes to destabilization of peace on the Korean Peninsula and threatens the sovereignty of the DPRK.
